Milky Green Tea Hot

Throwback July 20th. I tried another restaurant in Jalan Riau. I’m sorry I already forget the name. 😛 This was the beverage I ordered that time. I love green tea and green tea will always remind me of Japan. Unfortunately, I can’t really taste the green tea in it. But I understand, green tea is expensive here, haha. Beside that, the milk was too much and too sweet for me. I also ordered Korean style ramen, but I also forget what it’s called there. The ramen was not so special, I felt it’s just like instant noodle with veggies, egg, kimchi, and spicy soup. You can cook it by yourself, haha..

Kawa Daun

Yesterday my family brought me to try kawa daun. Kawa is Minangkabau word for coffee and daun is Minangkabau or Indonesian word for leaves. Kawa daun is a Minangkabau traditional drink, especially from Kabupaten Tanah Datar, Sumatra Barat. Kawa daun originated from roasted dry leaves of coffee tree. The dried leaves is boiled with hot water and poured to coconut shell. The taste was between tea and coffee. We went to Tabek Patah, Kecamatan Salimpaung. On this area (Jl. Bukittinggi-Batusangkar), we could easily find kawa daun stalls. We entered Pondok Goreng Alifha Kawa Daun, Tabek Patah KM 16, Batusangkar, Sumatra Barat. They served not only kawa daun but also goreng (assorted fritters) such as tahu isi (filled tofu), bakwan (vegetable fritter), and goreng tapai (fried cassava tapai)Size of the goreng was big, and the price was only Rp1,000, except goreng pisang (banana fritters) which was Rp1,500. Kawa daun was only Rp2,000. Very cheap and delicious. You should try them. 🙂

Before returning to Tokyo, we dropped in a cheesecake shop, still neat the Kachi Kachi Ropeway entrance. I just made cheesecake the previous night, so I didn’t want to buy any cheesecake there. 😛 I saw some cheesecake factory products there, which reminded me to the place where Penny works in The Big Bang Theory serial, haha. I just waited for other friends, until I saw Bintang and Tami bought ice cream. I was tempted, and finally I bought one, hehe. Here was the price: single size (one kind of ice cream of your choice) 350 yen, double size (two kinds of ice cream of your choice) 400 yen. By my simple logic, it’s better to buy the double size, haha. I chose double berry and chocochip flavor, Tami has bought matcha and Hokkaido creamcheese flavor, and we were happy trying four kinds of them. 😀 By the way I just realized that the name was gelato, and I never knew that gelato is the Italian word for ice cream, haha. I often saw “gelato” in Saizeriya’s menu and previously I thought it was something made by using gelatin. 😆

Shiroi Koibito Chocolate Drink

Saya cuma beli satu botol kecil, harganya 250 yen, rada mahal ya :p Mau beli dua takutnya kebanyakan, mana lassi gitu kan enakan diminum pas dingin.

Ntah kayak apa rasanya, saya ga minat beli 😆
